What Is RetroFoam?

RetroFoam is a new-generation option for insulation. As a tri-polymer mix, it is made with water, resin, air, and a unique foaming agent. When mixed, it creates a soft, malleable foam that looks and feels like shaving cream. This solution is prepared on-site and promptly injected into a wall cavity.


Once inside the cavity, RetroFoam displaces the air in your walls and fills the cracks in the walls. This can save you money and boost your comfort. RetroFoam is ideal for hard to reach spaces that may not be accessible with other insulation.

How RetroFoam Works

To improve your insulation, RetroFoam moves through the nooks and crannies of  most wall cavities. When the RetroFoam cures, it hardens to provide long-lasting coverage. It has been rated between R-4.6 per inch.


We remove specific rows of exterior siding as needed, usually one to three rows, or drill small holes into the sheetrock or mortar joints. Then, once we have access to the space, we pressurize and pump the non-expanding RetroFoam into your walls. This works very well on walls with existing insulation.
